EPA-Tribal Protocol Regional Haze TIP Development and Rule

The goal of the Regional Haze Rule (RHR) is to eliminate human-caused visibility impairment in national parks and wilderness areas across the country. It contains strategies to improve visibility over the next 60 years. This protocol was published to encourage a collaborative EPA-tribal process of developing and reviewing Regional Haze (RH) Tribal Implementation Plans (TIPs). It was developed jointly by representatives of the Gila River Indian Community, the National Tribal Environmental Council (NTEC), and EPA.
